Revel in Nashville’s Eclectic Arts Scene All Month Long with Artober Nashville

Artober Nashville is a month-long arts extravaganza held each October here in Music City and across Middle Tennessee. Whether you’re a visitor or a longtime resident, you’ll marvel at the depth and breadth of the local arts community, which will present hundreds of cultural events this month in fields as varied as painting, sculpture, mixed media, theater, film, music, crafts, and family-oriented festivals. Vanderbilt University’s world-renowned Wind Symphony will present “Star Gazing,” a celestial-themed concert, on October 9. Blind performance artist Estelle Condra will delight audiences with “Telling Tales,” an evening of African and Appalachian storytelling, on October 12. The Nashville Jewish Film Festival will treat film lovers to an international blend of provocative new cinema from October 17 through November 11. The Centennial Craft Fest will showcase the works of local artisans on October 21. And the Very Haunted Halloween Festival will pack in loads of scary fun for kids and adults, with a costume contest, fortune-telling, games, prizes, and a killer dance troupe, all on October 27.
